Chronifer® M-15 X is a hardenable stainless steel, which is equivalent of 431 grade steel with significantly improved steel properties. Its excellent hardenability, ductility and corrosion resistance ensures the manufacturing of precise, wear-resistant parts for medical, dental and watch industries.

LAW 100 X® (1095 grade) is a hardenable steel for the watchmaking industry. Due to its structure purity the low-distortion LAW 100 X^® makes an extremely efficient production of small precision parts like gears, pinions, pivots, axles, bridges and plates.

L. Klein SA is a supplier of Custom 465, a trademark of Carpenter Technology, their designation for the product is Chronifer 465 KL (USN S64500 / 1,4614). Due to its excellent notch tensile strength and fracture toughness it is suited for applications in the field of for medical instruments. It is used for the production of endoscopic instruments for surgery and for dental instruments, needles, needle wires and other instruments with small diameters.

L. Klein SA in Biel/Bienne was founded in 1946 as a family business and belongs to the Schiess Holding Ltd. The company is a corporation that is directed by Olivier and Philippe Schiess and employs 16 staff. In the last decades L. Klein SA has developed from a regional distributor to an international corporation. Exports account for approx. 40 % of the annual turnover.
