JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation Functional Materials Division

JX Nippon Mining & Metals (JX) is an integrated producer of copper and related metals. We carry out global business operations that cover the full range from mining, smelting and refining to manufacturing and recycling of end-of-life equipment. We produce four hundred and fifty thousand tons of copper per year, and recover six tons of rare metals per year from recycling. We own copper mining rights for two hundred thousand tons per year.

Our headquarters is in Tokyo, and we have overseas offices in Asia, North America, South America, and Europe. JX has a significant global market share of rolled copper foil for flexible printed circuits, sputtering targets for semiconductors, indium phosphide wafers and high-purity tantalum powder.

The Functional Materials Division of JX supplies advanced copper materials that are essential for our lives where everything is connected. Our products can be used for various electronic components in applications such as electric vehicles, telemedicine, drones and industrial robots. They range from treated rolled copper foil used in flexible printed circuit boards, to precision rolled products including beryllium-free Titanium Copper and Corson Alloy used in connectors and other interconnection components.
