Jupiter Ionics was founded in 2021, and is developing breakthrough electrochemical technology for the production of Green Ammonia developed over many years by our Founders, Prof Douglas Macfarlane and Dr Alexandr Simonov.This technology uses an electrochemical process to produce ammonia by reducing nitrogen extracted from the air and combining it with hydrogen extracted from water, with power provided by renewable electricity.

We have a strong research relationship with the School of Chemistry at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, where our research team is based.
