The Iospectra Hawk is a tripod or wall-mounted radiation monitoring and alarm system is designed to be used along with the Iospectra 1320-AO radiation probe. There are two displays featured in the Hawk that show the radiation levels measured by each of the probe’s two detectors. The two detectors of the probe include the “pancake-style” Geiger-Müeller tube, which measures alpha, beta, gamma, and x-radiation and the energy-compensated gamma tube. It is possible to mount the probe close by or set it up in a location up to several thousand feet away, indoors or outdoors.
The system is designed to be economical and can serve as a “tripwire” to warn responsible personnel of potential hazards. The system does not provide isotope identification or extreme sensitivity. It is possible to detect a small increase from the background radiation level within 30 s, and provide an indication if the source is purely gamma/x-ray, or whether it also contains beta and optionally alpha particles.
The Iospectra Hawk can be used as an area monitor, environmental monitor, portal monitor, entrance monitor, building monitor and perimeter monitor. It optionally can also be used to shut down air intakes on a building with an external adapter that samples air from the air intakes.

The key features of the Iospectra Hawk Monitoring System are:
User settable ALERT functions offer visual and audible warnings within seconds after a change in radiation level. An optional output can monitor external devices when an alarm occurs.
The attractive wall mount enclosure is well-suited for industrial and security applications and can blend into an office environment. All functions are controlled using a secured access panel and is available with tamper resistant fasteners. It is possible to route cables through the back wall, or through the bottom panel.
Control Panel helps in setting the alert level for each detector, power switch, mute alarm function, and access to interface cables.
