IKA Laboratory Reactors - LR 1000 Control Package

The IKA LR 1000 Control is a cost efficient modular laboratory reactor, designed for use at the laboratory scale. It has been developed to optimize chemical reaction processes, mixing, dispersing and homogenization applications. The system offers adaptability and flexibility, and can be adjusted quickly and easily to suit a wide range of specific requirements and applications.

The reactor itself is designed for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and their unique applications requirements. It is able to handle temperatures as high as 120 °C for the medium itself while the heating source (found at the bottom of the vessel) can be controlled accordingly to reach the set temperature inside the medium. The package includes a PT 100.30 temperature sensor and LR 1000.61 receptacle.

The package boasts a range of versatile and intuitive features including an integrated pH sensor connection. The unit’s display interface allows all process-relevant data to be shown on a PC, as well as saving the data into storage and controlling the reactor itself. Additional software accessories allow for further adaptation of the overall system and related processes.

Key Features

The only metals in contact with medium are stainless steel (ALSI 316 L), FFKM, PTFE, PEEK and borosilicate glass 3.3.

The system boasts a large, easy to read TFT display for easy navigation and better image quality.

An integrated weighing function is included.

Torque trend measurement can be used to indicate changes in product viscosity.

An integrated pH sensor connection is included.

RS 232 and USB interfaces are available, meaning the unit can operate with the laboratory software labworldsoft®.

The standard joint fittings on the lid are: 2 x NS 29, 2x NS 14, 2 x GL 14. These allow flexible adaptation of further equipment.

The system is expandable for use with the ULTRA-TURRAX® T 25 digital.

A vacuum valve is included with the delivery.

An anchor stirrer with PTFE scrapers is also included.

Connections are available to attach a cooling source to the back of the unit.

The unit includes a manually adjustable safety circuit.

The unit also includes an integrated safety shutdown, activated when the vessel or lid is removed from the base.
