The latest model available in the BELSORP MAX series is the Microtrac MRBBELSORP MAX X. It features a very compact design and lowweight.

The analyzerminimizes gas leakage and enables ultimate vacuum levels thanks to the combination of high-precision pressure transducers (133.3 kPa, 1.333 kPa, and 0.0133 kPa) with hard-sealing pneumatic valves and metal gaskets.

The temperature in the BELSORP MAX X can be controlled via state-of-the-art technology, from the heated manifold block (50 °C, optional 80 °C) and air bath to the sample, while electropolished gas/vapor lines prevent surface wetting and corrosion.

The new BELCONTROL operation software helps to understandthe durability andstructure of materials through cyclical stability analysis, sends measurement results via e-mail, and improves measurement and maintenance efficiency – all resulting in maxXimized sample throughput.

BELMASTER is a dedicated analysis software for enhanced material evaluations. It complies with ISO 9277, 15901-2, and 18852 and can be utilized for several material morphologies, like pellets, molded bodies, and fine powders.

AFSM^TM: Highest Reproducibility Available on Any Adsorption Instrument

Instead of trying to regulate the approximate level of liquid coolant, the innovative method of continuously tracking free space variations in a reference cell — Advanced Free Space Measurement (AFSM^TM) — offers greater measurement precision. It compensates for free space fluctuations resulting from environmental factors such as:

Variations in temperature and pressure in the air

Changes in LN₂ level

Changes in coolant temperature as a result of the dissolution of oxygen

Vapor Adsorption Option

Within the BELSORP MAX X, all gas lines, gauges, etc., have been installed in a thermostatic air chamber (50 °C) covered with thermally insulating material.

The fully temperature-controlled instrument stops vapor condensation effects and enables a variety of vapor adsorption measurements. It allowsmeasurements with organic vapors ranging up to 40 °C (standard instrument; HT model up to 70 °C). The evaluation of hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity and the measurement of VOC adsorption capacity are further possible applications.

Simultaneous Measurement of up to Four Samples

The BELSORP MAX X has four separate ports and one dedicatedport for measuring saturated vapor pressure. Three of the ports can be fitted with unique pressure transducers (0.0133 kPa, 1.33 kPa, 133.3 kPa), allowing for independent and simultaneous micropore analyses across a broad spectrum.

Two measurement modes can be selected depending on the application in question.The Multi-sample Mode and the High-Precision Mode are both available for measurements starting at lowest relative pressure P/P0 = ~10^-9.
