Headwall makes high-performance holographic gratings and hyperspectral sensors for remote sensing, advanced machine vision, medical/biotech, and defense applications.

Design attributes include very high SNR, aberration-corrected optics, wide field of view, small size and weight, low power, and outstanding spectral and spatial resolution. Spectral ranges from the Near-UV to the SWIR. The Company is ISO-9001:2008-certified.

Primary products for airborne and spaceborne applications include the Nano- and Micro-Hyperspec®, two of the smallest and lightest sensors available. For advanced machine vision applications, Hyperspec INSPECTOR and Standard Hyperspec sensors monitor food quality and can allow grading based on precise spectral characteristics. Other derivatives of Headwall’s ‘Hyperspec®’ family include point-and-stare and pan-and-tilt configurations, and scanning kits for benchtop laboratory use.
