Haydale has performed plasma treatment on more than 250 distinct material types, characterizing and fingerprinting them to enable the targeting of specific features in subsequent projects.
Compared to untreated equivalents, HDPlas® treated nanomaterials—such as carbon nanomaterials or nanoceramics—show higher uplifts. The elastomers, composites, inks, and coatings exhibit improvements in thermal, mechanical, and electrical applications because of the increased filler-to-matrix interaction
Powders (with more conventional dimensions) can benefit from plasma surface treatments, which can decrease (re-)agglomeration, increase wettability, shorten the time needed for downstream processing, and enhance uplifts in the finished product because of improved chemical interactions with the matrix.
Larger substrates, including films, wafers, and metallic and non-metallic components, are more vulnerable to plasma surface modification. To regulate wettability by different fluids, Haydale provides tunable levels of surface treatment.
