Harris & Harris Group, Inc.®, is a publicly traded venture capital firm exclusively focused on investing in tiny technology. We use the term, "tiny technology," as MIT uses it—tiny technology encompasses nanotechnology, microsystems and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). In fact, most of our portfolio companies are utilizing nanoscale-enabling technologies. But regardless of the particular technology being developed, we are interested in funding entrepreneurs with energy, vision and the desire to build great companies.

Harris & Harris Group is an active investor committed to working side-by-side with the management of its portfolio companies to surmount the many challenges they confront. We assist our portfolio companies in attacking general strategic and operational problems, as well as assisting them with business and intellectual property strategy, executive recruiting, fundraising, preparing for compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and building collaborations with strategic partners.

We are a traditional early stage venture capital firm except in capital structure and focus. As a publicly held company that invests only its own, permanent capital, we are able to be an unusually patient investor. Because we invest only in tiny technology, we have specialized expertise and an unique ecosystem of portfolio companies and other relationships.
