The MeasureReady M91 FastHall™ measurement controller from Lake Shore Cryotronics is a groundbreaking, multi-purpose Hall analysis instrument. The controller offers considerably higher levels of speed, convenience, and precision to researchers who perform analysis of electronic materials.
The M91 features Lake Shore’s new, patented FastHall™ measurement technology, thus essentially transforming the Hall effect measurement techniqueby avoiding the need to change the applied magnetic field’s polaritywhile performing the measurement.

A Convenient, Single Instrument
A conventional Hall effect measurement system(HMS) offers fundamental electrical measurement instrumentation integrated with a switching unitfor the measurement of Hall voltages and sample resistivity.
However, a HMSrelieson separate PC-based software to carry out pre- and post-measurement calculationsto eventually obtain the physical parameters that must be known by researchers — Hall coefficient, carrier type, mobility, resistivity, and carrier concentration.
The M91 FastHall™ measurement controller integrates all the essential HMS functions into a single instrument, thereby optimizing and automating the measurement process,and enabling direct reporting of the calculated parameters.
