Gaylord Chemical Company LLC is the world’s oldest producer of Dimethyl Sulfide, Dimethyl Sulfoxide, and is the originator and exclusive producer of Procipient^® (Dimethyl Sulfoxide USP, PhEur). Our history dates back to the Chemical Products Division of the Crown Zellerbach corporation, which commercialized Dimethyl Sulfoxide in 1962. Gaylord operated its production facility in the greater New Orleans, USA area for almost 60 years.

In 2010 Gaylord Chemical commissioned its new manufacturing facility in Tuscaloosa, USA. The Tuscaloosa facility is a highly automatic and efficient plant, with a superior safety record. Under the ownership of EagleTree Capital, Gaylord continues its investment in its manufacturing excellence and product innovation.
