The Ultrapyc gas pycnometer determines the density of solids and semi-solids and monitors purity or porosity. Measurements take less than ten minutes, making them ideal for monitoring sample quality throughout the production process.
Anton Paar has combined decades of experience with groundbreaking innovation to create Ultrapyc, the most user-friendly semi-solid and solid density meter on the market. Ultrapyc makes measuring the density of solids, powders, battery materials, and personal care products easier and more precise.
Users can also link Ultrapyc to AP Connect, a paperless data transfer software that eliminates transcription errors and consolidates lab data into a single digital space.

Ultrapyc’s numerous reference chambers prevent users from having a mismatched ratio between the space within the sample chamber and the volume of the reference chamber.
Ultrapyc’s chambers provide precise findings regardless of whether users have enough material to fill the smallest or largest sample cell. The instrument automatically selects and utilizes the appropriate reference chamber depending on the cell size.
Eliminate Contamination with Powderprotect Mode

With the standard “sample first” expansion orientation, users can continuously regulate the maximum pressure to which the sample is subjected during the measurement. Switching to PowderProtect mode reverses the sequence and avoids the chance of contaminating your instrument with finepowders or slurry vapors. The Ultrapyc 5000 series is the market's only semi-solid and solid density meter that can function in both directions.
