Group Company

Furukawa Co., Ltd. was founded in 1875 as a copper mine developer. Since then, Furukawa has worked tirelessly to develop new businesses that meet the needs of the times. It manages a group of companies with technology and products cultivated through a history of over 140 years in copper mine development as it continues to evolve and develop with its current core industries of machinery and materials.

Furukawa Co., Ltd. also acts as the original company of the Furukawa Group, made up by such companies as Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd.; Fuji Electric Co., Ltd.; Fujitsu Ltd.; The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd.; and Mizuho Financial Group, Inc.
