Iron oxide (FeOx) conjugated polymer nanoparticles (CPNs) are comprised of a light emitting polymer and an iron oxide component. These nanoparticles possess a structure where the light emitting polymer and iron oxide are encapsulated in a biocompatible surfactant. The special structure of these water-soluble nanoparticles facilitates covalent bonding with various biomolecules, such as streptavidin, antibodies, proteinsand nucleic acids.
Conjugated Polymer Nanoparticles (CPNs) have fluorescent properties significantly exceeding those of other labeling agents and are able to enhance a variety of imaging techniques, including fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, tissue imagingand many more.
