ERG was founded over thirty years ago in Oakland, CA and is the leading manufacturer of open celled aluminum and vitreous carbon foam materials. Our proprietary foam materials are used in the aerospace, defense, semiconductor manufacturing, and biomedical industries as well as for scientific research.

Our main products are constructed from our Aluminum, Carbon, and Silicon Carbide foam materials. On special order we produce Copper, Zinc and Nickel metal foams and a wide variety of ceramic foams including Silicon Nitride, Boron Carbide, Boron Nitride, and Hafnium Carbide.

ERG is the acronym derived from the corporate name of Energy Research and Generation, Inc. ERG being an advanced material supply and manufacturer of aerospace components does business as "ERG Materials and Aerospace Corporation".
