The ACF5000 hot/wet extractive system available from ABB sets a new benchmark in FTIR CEMS. The system can concurrently quantify up to 15 components, including water-soluble components, to precisely track the composition of exhaust gases.
Internal validation unit for QAL3 checks without the requirement for test gases
High-resolution FTIR with durable optical components
Lowest maintenance expenses
Pre-designed based on more than 25 years of experience
Comes with the longest certified maintenance interval with one year, issued by MCERTS in the United Kingdom
Overview
Available in the 4th generation series, the new ACF5000 system from ABB has been specifically designed for emission and process monitoring applications from the forerunners in FTIR CEMS. Ever since the system was introduced in 1993, ABB has sold over 2000 units.
The typical design of the system integrates the benefits of an FTIR spectrometer, oxygen measurement, and flame ionization (FID) technology. In addition, the high-resolution FTIR spectrometer enables selective measurement of infrared active gas molecules with excellent stability and sensitivity. The spectrometer can quantify up to 15 components, such as all relevant pollutants, simultaneously.
The ACF5000 multi-component analyzer system provides the following benefits:
Robust FTIR technology for TOC
Established hot/wet extractive measurement
Concurrent measurement of up to 15 gas components
Low cost of ownership
A single sample inlet for all sample gases with an exclusive air-driven aspirator pump
A comprehensive system with a modular and compact design
Lowest detection limits—well-suited for tracking even the smallest emission limit values
Internal references—enable continuous system validation
Control, communication, and maintenance are realized through PROFIBUS, Modbus, Ethernet (OPC), and TCP
Typical Applications
Hazardous waste incinerators at chemical plants
Sludge and biomedical incinerators
Municipal waste incinerators
Recovery and destruction of solvents
Cement kilns
Gasification and pyrolysisprocedures
Glass, tiles, and brick manufacturing
Aluminum and steel smelters
Crematoria
Combustion research
Catalyst protection monitoring
