An Element Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) combined with the easy-to-use APEX™ software offers a complete EDS microanalysis solution for all levels of analysis and high throughput industrial applications.

Element Silicon Drift Detectors

Designed with a silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) window, the Element SDDs optimize low energy X-ray transmission for light element analysis. The detectors have advanced low-noise electronics that provide excellent throughput performance. They also provide superior resolution.

The Element SDDs have a small footprint, which provides flexibility and ensures perfect geometry and data collection conditions. The detectors include a 30 mm² chip and come with a manual slide.
