DXR3 Raman Microscope

This easy-to-use point-and-shoot Raman Microscope makes accessing Raman data quicker than ever. Advanced imaging capabilities make the new Thermo Scientific™ DXR3 Raman Microscope quicker with DynaCal Automatic X-axis Calibration that eliminates manual calibration and instant visual information from 3D Visualization Software.

With flexibility and speed from new gratings and lasers, the DXR3 Raman Microscope is perfect for applications such as academic, pharmaceutical, microplastics, advanced polymers, and many more.

Capabilities

Auto alignment and calibration ensures scientifically accurate measurements, with no manual procedures or tools

Three-path fine beam auto-alignment maintains optimum performance and sampling integrity

Lasers and other components may be interchanged and shared with every instrument in the DXR3 Raman family

Laser power regulation ensures consistent sample excitation for the lifetime of the laser

Add new wavelengths without tools or service engineer visits

New, 3D Advanced Visualization Software for instant visual information

New, Particle Analysis for identifying and analyzing microparticles quickly

High-performance confocal Raman microscopy in an integrated, robust design

Automated fluorescence correction, real-time preview, auto exposure, and cosmic ray rejection

System status indicator shows the user at a glance that the system is optimized and ready to gather data

Lock-in-place and pre-aligned components use automatic recognition and stored alignment, permitting any user to reconfigure an instrument in seconds

Advanced spectrograph design with no moving parts simplifies utilization and make the detection system and calibration robust

Optional, automated polarized Raman capabilities supply structural information which complements chemical information

Validation

Omnic D/S software provides CFR 21 part 11 compliance

Complete package for DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ validation is available, including automated software protocols and extensive documentation

Laser Safety

To prevent exposure to the eyes while viewing the laser is physically blocked from visual viewing path

Microscope independently certified as class-1 laser safe. (Note: Optional fiber-optic accessory and some other optional accessories are class IIIb laser devices requiring laser safety eyewear and laser safety precautions.)

Exceptional Performance

Optimized gratings for each excitation laser to avoid performance sacrifices of systems which share gratings for numerous excitation lasers

A full spectral range of 3500-50 cm-1 can be captured with a single exposure of the CCD to avoid stitching artifacts. Extended spectral range to 6,000 cm-1 available for 532 nm laser

Spatial resolution – shown to be as good as 540 nm resolution on ideal sample

Confocal depth resolution – shown to be as good as 1.7 μm on ideal sample

Proprietary Triplet spectrograph maintains focus at all wavelengths and supplies exceptional peak shape

Lasers depolarized to avoid confusing sample orientation effects

Laser Power Regulator supplies active monitoring of laser power and ensures reproducible laser excitation power over the lifetime of lasers, even after replacing lasers

Supports multiple excitation lasers. 455 nm, 532 nm high brightness, 532 nm high power, 633 nm high brightness, 633 nm high power, and 780 nm

Multidimensional wavelength calibration supplies accurate wavelength calibration over the entire spectral range

Software-controlled switching between high-energy and confocal collection modes

Proprietary auto-alignment ensures system can be kept in like-new condition

Proprietary Smart-backgrounds automatically remove CCD dark energy profile

Automatic fluorescence correction available with all excitation lasers

Research-quality Olympus viewing optics

Automatic intensity correction produces spectra which are comparable between different excitation lasers and instruments

Proprietary algorithm for automated cosmic ray rejection and high-quality laser line filters ensure artifact-free spectra
