Draft Seal Co.

Draft Seal Co. was founded in 1960 by Anton Kamensek then incorporated in 1973 as A.K. Draft Seal Ltd. During the 1990’s we became known by our trademark name DraftSeal®, the largest manufacturer of weather-strip products in Western Canada. After his retirement in the early nineties, his son, Chris, who had been with the company since 1973, purchased DraftSeal® and started the Kristrack® division. The year 2010 marked the 50th year in business for DraftSeal® as a manufacturer and supplier of weather sealing and door sill products for commercial and residential applications.

In 2013 we introduced our new DS1 Storm – Sill System to comply with the new building code that requires exterior door sill systems to be tested for air, water and structural. Our manufacturing center in Langley, B.C., Canada, produces a line of weather-strip and sill products for the pre-hung door industry as well as a do-it-yourself line of residential weather-stripping for the consumer market.

In early 2023 A.K. Draft Seal Ltd and Kristrack Manufaturing were acquired by National Guard Products. NGP is a family-run business and is a leading manufacturer of quality commercial door products. Founded in 1935 on a commitment to customer service.

Moving forward, the new name is A.K. Draft Seal ULC.
