Introducing New TOF Tech
The BTX is the most recent model in LECO's Benchtop (or BT) GC-TOFMS series. The Pegasus BT series has demonstrated dependability in labs for the past eight years, completing objective, non-targeted analyses and handling challenging matrices. Thanks to the amazing Pegasus BT, researchers from a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, environmental, food safety, life sciences, and petroleum, have understood the intricate chemistry of their samples on a deeper level.
The innovative StayClean® ion source, blindingly fast full-spectrum acquisition rates, and five orders of linear dynamic range are all carried over from the Pegasus BTX's predecessor, all expertly coordinated by ChromaTOF® software.
With a tiny footprint and femtogram-level sensitivity, a new ion path and detector design enable the discovery of analytes with rich mass spectra previously undiscovered by even the most sophisticated targeted GC-MS systems. As evidence of LECO's investments in ion path integrity, all new BTX systems come with a two-year detector warranty. At LECO, technological advancements never compromise the dedication to instrument quality and robustness.
Working in omics applications, I really need instrument data that is sensitive as well as robust and offers the possibility to do non-targeted analysis. To be honest, so far, this is exactly what we get with the new Pegasus BTX. After testing food and biological matrices on it, I can see that the system is highly sensitive and providing all the added value of the GCxGC separation, which is perfect for my types of samples.
