Over forty years ago, Nils Young and Mimi Malizia Young founded DBS Manufacturing, Inc., with the goal of building a mechanical engineering company. Today DBS is a successful, privately held business that designs, manufactures, and provides application engineering for the products sold to original equipment manufacturers, end users, municipal, and industrial facilities.

DBS manufactures a full line of OEM clarifier drive units and thickener drive units, direct "bolt-in" retrofit drives units, low-speed mechanical aerators, industrial mixers, and rotary distributor center mechanisms for the water and wastewater industry.
