CryoMill for Cryogenic Grinding Operations from RETSCH

The CryoMill offered by RETSCH has been specifically designed for cryogenic grinding. Liquid nitrogen from the integrated cooling system continuously cools the grinding jar before and during the grinding process. This process preserves the volatile components and keeps the sample embrittled. The liquid nitrogen flows through the system, and is constantly refilled from an autofill system in the required proportion to maintain the temperature at -196°C.

Perfect grinding efficiency is achieved through powerful impact ball milling. The autofill system eliminates direct contact with the liquid nitrogen and makes the operation extremely safe. The CryoMill allows dry, wet and cryogenic grinding at room temperature, thus making it suitable for quantities of up to 20 ml.
