CommScope has developed key constructions of fiber optic cables specifically to be used throughout HFC communication hierarchies. Their newest fiber optic cable offering is a family of stranded loose tube cables using dry water blocking technology and reduced diameter buffer tubes. These cables are completely gel free, with dry water blocking elements in each buffer tube as well as over the cable core.
