The History

Industry experts from KRSS Ltd, with more than eight decades of overall experience in the mass spectrometry and chromatography market, had established Chromatography Direct in 2013. The company’s founders came from many different settings, bringing extensive knowledge, skillsetsand experience.

Chromatography Direct has grown year on year since its establishment in 2013 and continues to design novel products for the analytical sector.

In the early 1990s, several customers attempted to consolidate their purchases of analytical consumables which appeared to be practical from a convenience point of view. But this approach was not economical.

From 2008 onward, Chromatography Direct detected a change in the industry because of the financial crisis. When the company was established in 2013, its goal was to have an operation in place that dealt with the varying purchasing preferences of today’s customers.

Chromatography Direct achieved this goal by directly dealing with real manufacturers of consumables instead of marketing organizations. This enabled it to provide its clients the advantage of high-quality consumables at unmatched prices.

The Setup

Chromatography Direct operates from a 5000-square-foot (500 m²) facility located at Manor Park in Runcorn, Cheshire, and is closely associated with KRSS Ltd and its facility that measures 16,000 square feet (1600 m²). This is composed of extensive laboratories, warehousing, a conference room, and offices.

Chromatography Direct sells directly via its sister firm KRSS Europe BV located in Germanya dn Benelux, through direct and indirect sales channels in the United Kingdom, and through worldwide distributors.

The company designs and produces several of its branded products and markets them worldwide. It also distributes other consumables through exclusive partnerships in the United Kingdom, including QuEChERS and UCT SPE.

The partnership with KRSS and its technical know-how has been shown as invaluable to Chromatography Direct. This guarantees a complete understanding of analytical instruments, allowing the latter to present technical solutions to its clients
