CarboLex was conceived in the Advanced Science and Technology Commercialization Center at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. CarboLex is now a self-sufficient, off-campus company providing carbon nanotubes to clients worldwide.
CarboLex was formed on the 1st of June, 1998 in Lexington, KY, motivated by the idea that our production technique would bring high-quality, single-walled carbon nanotubes to the market at prices suited to realistic research budgets, thereby seeding the growth of related nanotechnology applications.
The research team at CarboLex is led by Peter Eklund, (PhD, Solid-State Physics) - also a faculty member at Penn State University.
