Axometrics, Inc. was formed to meet the polarization measurement needs of optics professionals. Axometrics delivers high-speed polarization metrology equipment to characterize polarization elements and the polarization properties of optical systems. Using Axometrics’ polarimeters, polarization components can be tested against specifications and optical systems can be aligned to maximize polarization performance. Our systems are especially useful to those seeking to flexibly use polarization elements and who need to understand all of their properties, both the desired and undesirable characteristics.

Our company was founded by recognized experts in the field of polarization measurement. Russell Chipman, Ph.D. and Matthew H. Smith, Ph.D. have more than 25 years combined experience developing world-class polarimeters. Both founders have experience developing polarization-related products in the optics industry and have also advanced the science of polarimetry as university professors.
