Thermo Scientific Axia ChemiSEM™ Scanning Electron Microscope is a system that enables the SEM-EDS data to be easily obtained. With this system, the EDS is no more just an afterthought, as the chemical data and imaging have been integrated.

In contrast to conventional SEMs, the Axia ChemiSEM always gathers EDS data in the background. Using exclusive algorithms to process the EDS and SEM signals at the same time, the instrument enables the morphology and quantitative elemental composition of a sample to be displayed together, in real-time.

The Axia ChemiSEM constantly processes EDS data in the background, thus delivering live updates on elemental data as soon as it is received. The instrument enables elements found in a sample to be toggled on and off. This allows users to isolate areas of interest.

The Axia ChemiSEM offers exceptional user experience improved by automation, including live quantitative EDS mapping, SmartAlign technology for alignment-free operation and newly developed automatic functions.
