For more than 65 years, Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Inc. has served the plastic and rubber industries designing, manufacturing and marketing innovative mold release agents, process aid additives, mold cleaners and sealants. Axel offers an extensive range of products under the trade names MoldWiz® and XTEND®, and continually develops novel products to improve efficiency and respond to new developments in plastic and rubber molding and processing.

MoldWiz® additives are proprietary, complex polymeric formulations specially designed for compatibility with specific thermoplastic and thermoset resin systems. MoldWiz® process aid additives can provide release; aid in flow, dispersion and wetting; improve the appearance of molded parts and speed process times. They are highly effective at low loading levels and easily incorporated into resin systems making them ideal for resin formulators and molders alike.

MoldWiz® external release agents feature water-based formulations appropriate for all operations and solvent-based products that comply with all current environmental regulations.

XTEND® semi-permanent releases are reactive resin solutions that cure, yielding the most durable mold release coatings available. Water and solvent-based XTEND® formulations provide options for all types of molding operations.
