Automated Loading System Which Allows Easy, Efficient, 24/7 Continuous and Unattended Processing of Large Sample Sets - AutoLoader

TESCAN’s AutoLoader is an automated loading system that enables smooth, efficient, 24/7 nonstop and unattended processing of large sample sets. It is engineered for thermionic or field emission TIMA-X analyzer equipped in the LM chamber.

The AutoLoader has two parts - sample magazine and loading mechanism.

Loading Mechanism

Each sample is automatically inserted into a specifically built cartridge and pre-cleaned to reduce dust particles on the sample surface. Two high-resolution digital cameras capture snapshots of the bottom and top surface of a sample. Sample block ID is automatically identified and its ID is stored. Due to the clever design of the cartridge and loading mechanism, the sample surface is safe from scratches, and, furthermore, constant working distance is guaranteed for samples of different heights.

Sample Magazine

The sample magazine can house up to 100 epoxy blocks measuring 30 mm or 25 mm in diameter and from 12 to 18 mm in height. The belt conveyor system can be easily accessed for sample loading.

The AutoLoader can be used in daily, continuous mineralogy for mine geology/ore control, leach operations, concentrators, and smelter support. It will also increase the capabilities of technical service centers for mining companies, large drilling programs, commercial laboratories, or pilot test campaigns. Along with a highly automated sample preparation lab (potting, sizing, and polishing), TIMA-X technology can determine high-throughput and quick-turnaround automated mineralogy lab modules for mine-location production support.
