Product Overview

The ASM IV Series Automatic Scrap Monitoring System is designed to detect undesired radiation sources accurately and reliably in a highly rugged environment. It is based on the high-performance Thermo Scientific^™ X-Channel platform, which runs Linux.

Optimized Radiation Detector Modules (RDM)

A rugged, industrial solid-state, dedicated-purpose System Control Unit (SCU) with a stable platform.

Detectors of suitable size and shape are configured to match the facility's and vehicles' requirements.

Multiple methods for system communication.

The critical starting point is having a System Control Unit (SCU) purposely designed for a harsh industrial environment.

RDM

Industrial spring clamp DIN terminal rails offer a highly reliable, quick, and simple installation process.

Low-energy gamma radiation can be transmitted through an aluminum door and a stainless steel housing coated in white powder to prevent corrosion.

Standard lead shielding and industrial anti-vibration shock mounts limit external interference.

A lockable three-point latch door closure mechanism is used to provide security.

1584 cubic inch (26L) premium PVT scintillators and high gain PMT assemblies.

SCU

Precision cast metal housing with wall or bench mounting options provides industrial toughness and simplicity of installation.

All components are solid-state, including disc storage for high reliability.

A large touchscreen display makes clear operator communication possible, clearing up desk clutter from keyboards and mice.

Ultra bright, long-lasting LEDs and membrane push-button switches are used to provide clear status information and repeated acknowledgment to the touch screen.

USB and RJ45 Ethernet ports are available for convenient networking and auxiliary device connections for remote monitoring.

There are four configurable input and four configurable output ports for interacting with external devices.
