Applied Nanolayers

Applied Nanolayers B.V. (ANL) is an advanced manufacturer and integrator of graphene and other high-performance two-dimensional materials (2DMs) at wafer scale for semiconductor and related applications. ANL is based in Delft in the Netherlands.

2DMs, including graphene, have a significant role to play in the future of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Deploying these sheets of materials just one atom thick, which have totally predictable electrical characteristics, offers a completely new way of constructing semiconductors on an industrial scale.

Transistors based on 2D materials are firmly on the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS), so finding a way to manufacture 2D materials at scale is vital. Applied Nanolayers treats graphene as part of this picture, and is committed to exploring the potential of the whole 2D material family in extending Moore’s law far beyond contemporary technologies and solutions.
