Edinburgh Instruments presents the LP980 Transient Absorption Spectrometer with the following key features:
All-in-one spectrometer for transient absorption and laser-triggered fluorescence
In-built ICCD enables transient spectra to be measured within a single laser flash
Advanced software platform for full computer control of all parts and measurements
Transients can be measured up to 2.55 µm to encompass various samples and sample types
Product Description
The LP980 spectrometer sets thestandard for technical efficiency in a leading research instrument. It delivers unmatched measurement capabilities spanning a wide range of physical, chemical, and biological applications.
Kinetic (K) and Spectral (S) Mode
At the center of the LP980 is a completely integrated and advanced transient absorption spectrometer. It applies the pump-probe method for measuring transient kinetics and spectra.
In kinetic mode (K), a single point detector is employed to compute the transient kinetics at a single wavelength (spectra can be developed by automated scanning across a wavelength range and slicing the data).
In spectral mode (S), a gated intensified CCD is employed to record the entire spectrum in the presence and absence of the pump laser pulse, meaning the entire spectrum can be produced after a single laser pulse.
The LP980 spectrometer contains a twin sample chamber that allows users to consistently and accurately measure transient biological and chemical species up to 2.55 µm using the pump-probe method and laser-triggered fluorescence lifetimes up to nanosecond time ranges.
Transverse sample excitation geometry is offered as standard. Thin-film, diffuse reflection, fluorescence, and phosphorescence lifetime measurement fixtures are provided as options.
The company's reputable advanced software, the L900 package, can handle dual mode measurement, eliminating the need to carry out manual mechanical modifications.
The software has a simple graphical user interface that streamlines the user’s ability to capture measurements effortlessly. Users can expansively control data and conduct analysis procedures.
