Almetals, Inc. is an award-winning metal slitter and distributor, founded by Jim Chain in 1984. The company was a business opportunity that presented itself at the right time and place. Using his previous business experience, along with cash, secured bank funding and his children's education fund, Almetals, Inc. took root and has soared ever since.

Our first location started in Novi, Michigan. Within two years, we outgrew our Novi facility and built a state of the art facility down the street in Wixom, Michigan. This facility was larger and had new machinery, such as the Ruesch slitter to add to the Stamco slitter that was moved from Novi. In 1999, Almetals, Inc. continued to expand and opened an additional location in Austell, Georgia, located just outside of the metropolitan Atlanta area. This allowed us to better service our southern-based clientele.

Collectively, we have over 150 years of metal processing experience. We pride ourselves on striving to do our very best for our customers by providing the very best quality product, along with excellent customer service. We purchase from quality mills both domestic and foreign and work with the very best suppliers. We also provide re-rolled aluminum to precision tolerances and are able to anneal aluminum to meet your O temper requirements.
