The company was started in 1962 in Janesville, Wisconsin to market sanitary products to the dairy producer industry through a network of distributors.

And, finally,Allegheny Surface Technologywas formed to provide the ultra high mechanical and electrochemical polishes required by escalating standards in the hygienic industries. It is a state of the art facility for electropolishing large and small products, passivating, pickling, and mechanical polishing.It has developed proprietary procedures to do on-site polishing of tanks and other products too large to move.
