Established in 1962 by Robert Samples, Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. (ARDL) began its legacy with a staff of only two. Over the past 45 years, ARDL has established itself as a leading international laboratory dedicated to providing testing, development and problem solving services to all facets of the rubber and plastic industries.

ARDL is an A2LA ISO 17025:2017 accredited, ISO 9001:2015 registered, ISO 13485:2016 registered and FDA compliant independent testing laboratory specializing in rubber, plastic and latex.

Other services include product and factory technical audits, failure analysis, technical training and technical problem solving. Using an independent laboratory enables clients to stay focused on what they do best -- running their businesses.
