Lake Shore Cryotronics’ MeasureReady M91 is a highly innovative, all-in-one Hall analysis instrument that is capable of offering considerably higher levels of speed, precision, and convenience to scientists involved in the analysis of electronic materials.
The M91 features the new, patented FastHall™ measurement method from Lake Shore. By principle, the controller alters the way the Hall effect is measuredby removing the need to change the polarity of the applied magnetic field during the measurement.
This process results in quicker and more accurate measurements, particularly when measuring very low mobility materials or when using high field superconducting magnets.

A Convenient, Single Instrument
Traditional Hall effect measurement systems (HMS) offer standard electrical measurement instrumentation integrated with a switching unit to measure Hall voltages and sample resistivity. However, they must rely on independent PC-based software to carry out pre- and post-measurement calculations, so as to eventually derive the physical parameters that scientists need to know — mobility, carrier type, resistivity, carrier concentration, and Hall coefficient.
The M91 FastHall™ measurement controller brings together all of the essential HMS functions into a single instrument, thus automating and enhancing the measurement process, and directly reporting the parameters that are calculated.
