The Ladybug6, the most sophisticated high-resolution camera, is crafted to obtain spherical 360-degree images from moving platforms in any kind of weather. Its industrial-grade design and out-of-the-box factory calibration produce 72 Megapixel (MP) images with pixel values that are spatially accurate within +/- 2 mm at a 10-meter distance.
As the newest model in the field-proven Ladybug series, the Ladybug6 builds on Teledyne's machine vision heritage with improved onboard processing, increased image resolution, and sturdy IP67-rated connectors. Support for additional Global Navigation Satellite Systems and advanced APIs, combined with hardware inputs, allow for accurate camera settings and trigger control.
Some examples of customer applications include asset inspection, panoramic street image production, road surveying, and feature extraction for HD map generation, among several others.
Highest Accuracy and Image Quality
A remarkable survey-grade spatial accuracy of +/–2 mm at 10 m is achieved by combining industry-leading calibration, global shutter CMOS sensors, and premium optics. Additionally, the Ladybug6 has a high dynamic range, low noise, and excellent color response that allows it to take excellent images in a range of lighting conditions.
Onboard Processing and Feature Rich SDK
Building on the field-tested Ladybug5+, the Ladybug6 optimizes workflows by capturing, compressing, and transmitting 8-bit or 12-bit pixel data.
A user-friendly interface on the feature-rich Ladybug Software Development Kit (SDK) enables image acquisition, the development of spherical and panoramic images, and fine-grained control of pre- and post-acquisition camera settings.
Built for the Outdoors
Designed from the ground up to capture images from moving platforms in outdoor environments, the Ladybug6 features an IP65 rating, a wide operating temperature range (-30° C to 50° C), industrial grade IP67 rated connectors, support for additional Global Navigation Satellite Systems, and trigger control by hardware or software with advanced APIs for complete camera control.
